As excited as I am about playing this game with you and cheering on Germany, I need to remind you that you shouldn't double post. And that as of 1998, there were 5,752 museums in Germany (about as many as Italy and the United Kingdom combined). What an incredible country.

That may be the case, but do they have any of the great classical musicians? I mean no disrespect to Brazil, but Classical music has been widely dominated by German-speaking composers. A few famous ones born on the present territory of Germany include Bach, Händel, Beethoven, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Wagner and R. Strauss. Hmm, art moves me in a way that only this fun game can match. Although I think all of these people are dead by now, I'm sure their spirits are cheering Germany on just like me! *crunch* *blows whistle* the fact that there are all these german composers is common knowledge for any layman who took a music class in elementary school! penalty for germany for not finding something interesting and little-known!

*Crunch* Apologies, but the warning was not in the first post, therefore not clear. My internet was down all day today, so natuarally I was excited about getting to post about glorious germany at all! Did you know that the famous balcony over which michael jackson raised his son is in Berlin, Germany? Naturally, as Germany is a fantastic location for adults and babies alike.

*Crunch* Pen spoke about Beer, but another popular food in Germany is bread. Did you know there are 300 different types of bread in Germany? Yes! It's true. There are even bread museums, making Germany a wonderfully strong and extraordinary country to support and love. *crunch* As well as being great at football and a fantastic place to live and work, the longest word published in the German language is Donaudampfschifffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft- a whopping 79 letters! *blows whistle* while these are certainly some very interesting facts, and your crunches were in perfect form, double posting is not allowed. penalty for germany!

did you know that "Weird Al" Yankovic, my favorite musician, has a new album coming out one week from today?? I am so incredibly excited, and you should be too!! while none of the songs have been released yet, it is inferred in the track listing that his lead single will be a parody of Iggy Azalea's "Fancy", instead titled "Handy." if you wrote a parody of the song called "Handy", what would your hilarious lyrics be for the chorus? for reference, here is the original chorus:
I'm so fancy You already know I'm in the fast lane From LA to Tokyo I'm so fancy Can't you taste this gold? Remember by name
and in a week's time you can marvel at how much more clever weird al's lyrics are than yours! fun!!

With all due respect, do you know what penalties are in football? Just wondering. I think a lot of german people do, after all Germany has been runners-up 4 times at the World Cup, and they've made 11 semi-final appearances there too - a record. Perhaps the most consistent performers at the World Cup, they often finish near the top. Such an awesome country to cheer for. And it's especially gratifying thanks to football's clear rules. All the players know what it takes to win and are trying to achieve that goal. I wish that for every game I watch and play. Good thing this one does such a great job at that.
I'm so handy You already know I'm in the fast lane From LA to Tokyo I'm so handy Can't you taste this gold? Remember by name
I suppose, since there are no rules regarding this challenge, this should work just fine.

no i have no idea what a penalty is in soccer, although it is almost always a bad thing in sports, so that's why i'm using it. i know if someone has a penalty the other team gets a free shot at kicking the ball into the goal, although that might be football. the real football.

Which is why it makes no sense in this game. But, still, I'm having so much fun. As of 2012, German athletes have won a total of 1662 Olympic medals (summer and winter combined from 1896 to 2012), i.e. more than any other country in the world except the USA. Cool. Cool cool cool. Woo Germany we won the actual game and stuff.

yeah well guess what, mr pedantic? this isn't soccer, it's a big brother contest, so i'm using the word penalty in the general sense, "a disadvantage or handicap imposed on a player or team, typically for infringement of rules."

I'm so sorry for the shame you and the actual country you were rooting for apparently went through today, pen.

Thank you, Terry.
I'm not sure what you mean, though. Since I was backing Germany up wholeheartedly and I'm sure that 7th goal was just for me. Guess what, today German player Miroslav Klose broke Ronaldo's record of most goals scored in a World Cup, setting a new one at 16. Just wonderful.
